Day 236: Light Bulb

Our lamp must have problems. Since we've lived here, two light bulbs have  encountered an earlier than expected death. They aren't just the cheap 'o bulbs because our lamp has 3-way capability. They shouldn't just die after 3-4 months.
Two days ago, the lamp was flickering, so Allison went to go check on it. Little did she know that she could have ended up with a scalding filament burrowing into her hand. Good thing this little guy got stuck in the glass. Yikes.



See the little filament. It had Allison's name written all over it.
I should talk to my friend Josh to tell the guys at the lab that the glass is perfectly thick enough. He works at GE. The filament didn't escape.

    Looks like it's time to switch to an LED or fluorescent bulb. Yicks!

    It looks to me like there is a wiring problem with your apartment. Same thing happened to us in our old place. Light bulbs would burn out in just months, even the 10 year kind. Once the wiring was fixed, the bulbs started lasting longer.
