Day 121: Zoo Sneak Peek

Boyd and I took Heidi to the Cleveland zoo a while back. They have an amateur photo contest going on and I'm thinking about submitting some pictures. I'm going to need people to vote on their favorites because I can only submit 3 but I like a lot of them. In the next little bit I'll be putting up all the animal pictures and we'll just have to see what people think.

Day 120: First Exam Of Finals Week

Let finals begin! *ding* *ding*
Boyd took his first final today. I'm ready this round. The last time Boyd had finals we weren't so prepared and had a really rough week. Hopefully this time around will be better.

Boyd had his PD exam today and had to dress up. I made him stop before he left so I could take a picture of him. Can you tell who helped him get dressed? He picked the green shirt and I picked the tie.

This is his "I'm a doctor now let me tell you something boring blah blah blah" face.

Day 119: Pot Stickers

Tonight Boyd and I went over to Matt and Lara's and made pot stickers! Yum!

Our smiles are so cheesy but oh so cute!

Do you like our one little pot sticker? This was as we were leaving I forgot to take a picture of our pot stickers so we pulled one of the left overs our and plopped it on a plate. It still looks yummy!

Day 118: The Grass Is Always Greener.

The power was out for 5 hours today. BOOO!!!!! After 4 hours of life without power, I was off to a Pampered Chef party and Boyd was off to "study" *cough* , play video games, *cough.* We took precautions just in case the electricity wouldn't ever return. A friend of ours was volunteered to rescue our frozen chicken and beef from a dreaded thaw, and we hoped for the best.

Even Giraffes know that the grass is always better on the other side of the fence. They had plenty to eat in their fairly large pen, but I guess the food just wasn't good enough.

Da 117: Dukie Duke Quads

Elizabeth sure loves her dog. I've put up pictures of Duke before, but today she asked me if I could do a quad of Duke because she wants to make a canvas warp of it to put in Alex's room. I love it! It is so funny because when I went to drop the pictures off her husband told me how much he loves the pictures of Duke, oh yeah, and he liked the pictures of his son too, but the ones of Duke were amazing! I just love how they love their dog. Here they are.

After a while they all just started looking the same to me.

Day 116: Happy Belated Easter

Got caught up in blogging about our new baby nephew, now named Isaac Ralph Storm, I forgot to blog about our Easter happenings.

On Saturday we were down in Columbus. Boyd decided that since he was going to help out with our Ward's youth temple trip he didn't want to go and do an endowment session that morning. So Carrie went with me and we had a great time. Then that evening we both went and helped out with the youth session. It was fun helping out with the baptisms because it's been a while since I had done them.

Then that night we went back to Carries and decorated eggs with the girlies.

Yes, those are rolled up bunny ears. I think Alice should be a bread stick model.

I Love Emelie's face in this picture. This is her "BOYD!!!!" face. She had her mouth full of bread stick and he kept taking pictures. She told him "I don't want to show everybody my food!" So when he kept taking pictures she pulled her "BOYD!!!" face.

Can you tell we are a bunch of girls with all the pink eggs?

This is my candy corn easter egg.

This is Alice's my mouth is full face. What a funny bunny.

Then on Sunday we got together with some friends from our ward. I'm so grateful for the people in our ward. It was a perfect ending to our Easter weekend.

Day 115: It's a BOY!

No, we are not pregnant. . . BUT we are now the proud Aunt and Uncle of our new baby nephew. He doesn't have a name yet, so we are just going to call him baby. Baby makes grandchild #19 in the Bills family.

Boyd doesn't like newborns.

But he is still a good uncle.

I'm so happy I got him to look at me.

Trying to open his wee little eyes.

Day 114: Pickles "Piggles"

On Thursday Boyd promised the girls that if they got all the dandelions out of the grass they can have either $.10 for each dandelion OR a happy meal. Obviously they chose the happy meals.

While we were ordering the happy meals Alice told me that she did not like pickles. Kirsten kept repeating "I like piggles (Pickles), I like piggles."

Not only does Kirsten like piggles she kept saying "I love piggles"

So being the good Aunt and Uncle we are, we gave her a pickle. . .

Just so you know, Kirsten was holding the pickle in her mouth while she was telling me she didn't like pickles. A couple minutes later, after the recording, she asked me with a frowny face "can I spit it out?"

Now if you ask Kirsten if she likes pickles she will tell you "I don't like piggles, I spit them out"

Day 113: Chickadees

I love spending time at Carrie's house. Today the girls (my nieces) and I made these cute little chicks from Grandma Bills.

Funny stories to come with pictures.

Day 111: Saturn

Boyd got our Saturn from his brother, Tom, who got it from their brother, Spencer (who probably won it from a friend in a game of Mahjong). Anyway, we are grateful for this little car because it gets me to work and back. I typically drive 1-2 hours a day for work and this poor little car has held up so nicely. Today I pulled over on the side of the freeway to take this picture. I have been waiting and waiting to take this picture. Can you tell I get bored when I drive?
(sorry it is crummy, I used my cell phone)

Day 110: Giant Green Pepper

Just spent the last few hours photoshopping my eyes out. I'm going to go easy on the blog today and use my fall back. A few weeks ago we went grocery shopping and I saw this GIANT green pepper! Truthfully, we really didn't need a green pepper but we bought it anyway just so I would have something to blog about on days like today.

Day 109: The Hot Dog That Didn't Want To Be Eaten

Once upon a Saturday evening Boyd wanted a hot dog. We had purchased hot dogs a while ago and who knows how old it was. I told him not to eat it because it might not be safe. He threw caution into the wind and threw it in the microwave. It came out all mutilated looking. I have never seen a hot dog look like that. (Boyd just said "It had practically exploded. It was so ugly it didn't want to be eaten") I warned him again not to eat it. Boyd was going to sing in sacrament meeting, had a very important meeting, and then was going to sing a duet with Beth during a stake music fireside. I didn't want to chance him getting food poising. Again he didn't listen to his little wifey. So I left the kitchen not wanting to be part of his rebellion. (Boyd said "I just wanted a hot dog!") Seconds later I heard a CRASH!

Looks like Corelle plates are breakable. I told Boyd it was a sign. He said he didn't believe in signs. "It was just a dang hot dog that didn't want to be eaten"

The only thing that consoled Boyd was the fact that we are going with Beth and Scott to an Indians game coming up on May 13. It's Dollar Dog night. Yeah, we are pretty much going to stuff our faces with hot dogs. When Beth asked us to go I told Boyd I hope she isn't going to get grossed out with how many hot dogs we are going to eat. Between the two of us we'll probably down 10 or so.

Lesson learned: LISTEN TO YOUR WIFE!

p.s. That is not blood. That is ketchup on Boyd's foot.

Day 108: I'm thankful for birds

Today's lesson, in sunbeams, was I'm thankful for birds. I spent who knows how long last night folding these little birdies. Then today in class I unfolded them and let the kids think that they made the birds themselves. Sometimes I wonder if they are really listening to me. Today while they were doing their coloring page I told them the story of Elijah and how he ran away from the wicked king Ahab and how Jesus told the bird to go and feed Elijah. Non of the kids looked up or even gave me a sign that they were listening. During play-dough time I told them to make birds and then proceeded to ask them "So what did Jesus tell the birds to do?" My little Mitchell (who is my only boy) didn't look up, didn't blink, just replied "Jesus told the bird to feed Elijah. I'm making cookies for everybody" I'm glad something is sinking in! These kids are hilarious and I absolutely love my calling.

Day 105: Sewing Machine

Happy early birthday to me! Boyd has been planning on getting me a sewing machine for a while now and we decided since I have a bunch of projects coming up that we might as well get one now instead of waiting for my birthday. Thanks Mom Bills for helping out! I'm super excited to use this puppy! After hours and hours of research we decided this is the one that fits my current needs. After a forever long trip to Joanns today I hopefully have everything to get me started.
Sorry the pic is blurry, I used my cell phone to send it to my mom and was too lazy to take more pictures tonight. Had a girls night out for Shalon's birthday and I had so much fun. I love the girls in my ward.

Here it is!
