Day 344: Christmas Candy

Christmas candy making is a Bills family tradition. It started in North Dakota when Grandma Miller help to build a chapel out of chocolates. They needed funding for the chapel so the Relief Society dipped chocolates to raise the money.  Today Boyd's mom showed me how to make delicious cream fondant candy.

I'm trying so hard to concentrate on what I'm doing

MmMmM strawberry fondant

Mixing. Lots of mixing to incorporate air into the fondant.

Then magically, you'll know when it happens, it turns into fondant.

This was the vanilla to make cherry cordials.

So pretty

At the end of the day we had our mint flavored fondants

Our strawberry fondants
 Boyd did the designs
 And our cherry cordials

What do you do with extra chocolate? You make chocolate covered marshmallows. I love chocolate covered marshmallows. They kind of look like reindeer presents.
