Happy 4th Of July! (July 4)
What a fun filled day.
We started out by going to Hinckley Lake in the morning.
After sandcastles and sun burns we spent the evening with some friend and had a grand ol' time playing bocce ball, eating burgers, chatting, playing baseball, setting off smoke bombs, and the best part, playing with sparklers!
Just as Boyd was taking this picture a car zoomed by.
I love this picture because it captures how all the mom's whipped out their cameras and were trying to take pictures of all the kids with their sparklers.
Sword fighting with sparklers? I don't know if that was the best idea, but it sure looked cool
Did you know that fireworks are illegal in Ohio? Neither did I till we moved here! All you can do are smoke thingys. Kinda a bummer but we still had fun.
How desperate are we? We got excited over the GREEN smoke!
I just had to snap a picture of the smoke box lighting up before it smokes because I figured that will be the most sparks and fire we'll get to see since fireworks aren't allowed.
All the kids were so eager to get their snaps!
One of my favorite parts about tonight was how all the kids called the "snakes" Poop. They really do look like growing, burning pieces of poo
Boyd got to play all day.
He has been waiting to play baseball and finally got his chance.
Boyd got to spend the whole day with his best buddy Jack.
I love how Jack always calls Boyd "Brother Bill" and me, Allison.
On the way home from Hinckley Lake, Sally started calling "Bill! Bill! Bill!" and reached for Boyd's hand. She held his hand the whole car ride home. How sweet is that!
Sharyn totally went above and beyond with these desserts.
