Day 9: Cousins

Cousins. I have cousins who are 34 years old and cousins who are 3 years old. Boyd looked at me and then at one of my older cousins and said, so you are cousins? Then pointed to one of my baby cousins and said, and you are cousins? And yes, we are all cousins. I love it. Here are a few of my favs of my cutie cousins and me.

Day 8: Lion King and Sushi

Lion King!

Amazing Sushi! Honestly, I usually don't like sushi, however this was the MOST AMAZING sushi place in the world! Wow! I ate so much I got dizzy, but it was totally worth it!

I was so full this one piece sat on my plate for about 30 minutes before I could even think about eating it. Yum

One of my many cute, young, fun, cousins. Marin is soooo adorable! I love her! She just came right over, looked at Boyd and hopped on his lap. Then came over to me.

Happy 80th Birthday Grandpa! It was hilarious, my Aunt put trick candle on the cake and Grandpa couldn't blow all 80 of the out for some reason. Even people who were not part of our party were taking pictures because the flames were so huge!

Day 7: Hotel

Viva Las Vegas!

My grandpa is having his 80th birthday party down in Vegas. Why not make it a weekend long party! Here's what I have so far

The Room
Walked in and it was SWEET! I guess that's pretty good considering it is a suite. I especially like the way the lighting made this picture turn out.

Day 6: Lily Dog

Tomorrow we are driving down to Vegas and I will be without a computer. So, I'm posting my tomorrow picture today. Once again, Lily wanted me to take pictures of her. How can I resist such a cute puppy that wants her picture taken all the time? Lily thinks she is a princess and that she gets the whole bed to herself.

Day 5: Orchids and Lils

My Mom is a florist and has such a green thumb. Her flowers are always beautiful. I love this orchid because she was telling me that nobody bought it at the store, so she took it home and turned something nobody wanted into something so beautiful!

This one is called potential.

My Little Lily Roo was such a good puppy today. She makes an excellent model. She stayed at my heels all day long while I was taking these pictures of my Mom's flowers. She then made many attempts to be in the pictures, so I decided to let her model and heres the result.

This is Lily telling me to take a picture of her. She's saying "Take a picture, take a picture!"

Lily blowing kisses

Rar, I'm an Aldergator!

What a tease! Sticking her tongue out at the camera!

Day 3: Playing With Lily

Ticket To Ride! What a fun game! Even Lily liked playing ticket to ride. She helped me with my trains. We made such a good team.

Day 2: Hong House Family Games

I love Sundays, especially Sundays with my family. Today my childhood friend came over for dinner and it was wonderful! Cami and I have known each other since we were wee biddy kids. It was great to see her.

For my picture today I'm posting a picture of the game we played tonight. It was quite fun and we had a grad ol' time playing it over and over again.

As you can tell we take our gaming very seriously.

These are kinda lame pictures because they are not artsy, however they pretty much captured the essence of my family and I love it. Even though it is 12:34, I'm still counting this as my second day post. I'll try to do better about getting posts up before mid-night so they actually register as the correct day. Maybe tomorrow I'll get it right!

A Picture A Day

HELLO One, One, One, One (1/1/11). I will be the first to admit that I have been soooo bad about blogging since we have moved to Ohio.

Here is an update since my last post.
Boyd and I moved to Brecksville Ohio in August. Megan got married August 14 and we drove our little Civic all the way to Ohio after her reception that night. We were about 1 hour away from Boyd's parents after driving for 32 hours and I saw something on the road. I thought it was a rock and thought I could straddle it but it turns out you can't straddle a giant truck bumper. Lesson learned do not try to drive across the country straight for 30+ hours after a wedding. Anyway, point is, we moved to Ohio. I got a job teaching pre-school gymnastics and dance, Boyd started school, and we have finally settled into our apartment.

As a new years resolution, I decided to be better at blogging. My recently married sister in-law suggested I post a picture a day. Honestly, I was skeptical about it but if I really put my mind to it, I think I can do it! I'll be posting any picture, one that may show an event from the day, an artsy picture of a random item I saw that day, an old picture that I photoshopped. The goal is to post a picture a day. Here is my first picture for 2011!

The reason why I posted this is because I'm in Utah with my little puppy Lily! I was going to post a different picture today however as I was clearing off my memory card I lost some precious pictures from today. My Ging Ging spent the night, which is a big deal. She never spends the night. Then we went to see Tangled today! It was so cute! I love that movie! Ging Ging said that the last time she went to the movies she saw Joy Luck Club. That movie came out in 1993! I'm glad she was able to come to a movie with us! Then we went to Cafe Rio and I finally fulfilled my craving for a pork burrito! I'm sad Ohio doesn't have a Cafe Rio. It was a great day! I love my Ging Ging very much! I'm sad I deleted the pictures from today, but I decided to take this one because I love my Lily very much!

Hopefully I will be able to keep up with this goal. Maybe if I post this telling my self to do this on a daily basis I'll feel obligated to be better at posting. I have so many stories from work, Christmas break, my trip to Utah, etc. Hopefully this year I will keep at least one of my goals and fulfill my picture a day blog goal!
