Thanksgiving - Dayton, OH

It's a lot of fun being part of such a huge family.
The funny thing is, this is only 1/2 of the Bills.

 Happy Thanksgiving- Love us.

Over Thanksgiving break we went to Carillon Historic park where we were able to
"experience Dayton's rich heritage of creativity and invention"
Who knew Dayton Ohio had so much history!

Cash registers. So pretty!

Did you know that Dayton Ohio has a GIGANTIC soda lid?!?

If you are going to talk about the Wright brothers you must see their bikes and bike shop

And of course if you have one of these benches

You have to put all the present grandchildren in each spot

Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the origional 1905 Wright Flyer III, but we did see it, in person.

Thanks for the fun trip Mom and Dad Bills

"Miss Allison, your hair touches your butt"

My hair is really long.
Almost daily, a child at school will make a comment about my hair
"Miss Allison, you have Repunzel hair"
"Miss Allison, you hair is really long"
"Miss Allison, your hair touches your butt"
In pre-school I even let them play hair salon. The kids take bristle blocks and pretend to color my hair all sorts of rainbow colors, and then they will pretend cut it, wash it, and make it "look pretty"

Anytime I go to the mall or somewhere public, someone will stop me and tell me that my hair is really long. I even had people ask if they can "pet" my hair.

It took me months to conjure up enough courage to cut my hair.

Well, I cut off a foot!
(Not like the kind that Boyd cuts off during surgery, because he actually does cut real feet off)
But literally a foot of hair, gone. Yikes!
And I went dark, which was a shocker.
It was the first time I have cut my hair and didn't cry! Go me.

Not that you want to see a bunch of pictures of me
but I wanted to show off Boyd's awesome photography skills.

Well, goodbye hair.
I'm sure in a year from now, it will all have grown back. ahhh.

Halloween

Upon request, our Halloween costumes.

We were candy corn
Yes, I made my own costume.
It's a t-shirt that got chopped,
orange fabric, yellow fabric, and a hula hoop on the bottom.

Boyd is showing that he is a tough candy corn.

Boyd tried fixing my hair.
He went to move it and went "ugggh!  Whats in your hair?"
(hairspray)
My ears are really big and I tried covering them. Oh well.

This picture makes me laugh, every time.

My pumpkin this year was a bat

Boyd carved a dragon.

We've been eating a ton of squash in this house lately.
Yum yum yum.
Boyd decided to make acorn squash one night.
He peeled off the outside and this is what he found.

Am I ,seriously, now just getting around to this post, the week of Thanksgiving?
You should see the piles of laundry I've neglected for the past 3 weeks.
My house needs some love. So does this blog.

Boo At the Zoo

Boo at the (Akron) Zoo is. . .

Awesome!

Anyone want to buy our house?

Isaac, what does a frog say?

Goat butt. Ha ha.

 The otters were so cool!
They have a slide. . . enough said.
See the pic below? Those are otters swimming around Boyd and Isaac
Pretty sure Boyd used Isaac as an excuse to go down this slide himself. ha ha

Best exhibit: Look at that Froggy in the window.

Happy Birthday Boyd!

 Happy 30th Birthday To Boyd!

Boyd's actual birthday was celebrated while he was down in
Columbus and I was up in Akron. We met half way in Mansfield Ohio.

Birthday celebrations included:
Trying on glasses from glasses.com
Other celebrations included:
Eating pizza in the park
Walking around Walmart
and Drinking chocolate milk as dessert.
Ok, lame, I know. What else were we supposed to do.
I literally cried because it was so lame. How would you like to celebrate your 30th birthday by walking around walmart?

Luckily we believe in Birthday Month in our house

We re-celebrated on the weekend with

Boyd's favorite: Texas Sheet Cake

And Clothes . . .
Yay. . .

 This puppy wanted Boyd snuggles.
Maybe next year we will get a dog for Boyd's birthday.
(I couldn't get both of them to be cute at the same time. That's why there are two pics)

Pumpkin Fest

While Boyd was doing his rotation down in Columbus Ohio, we went to the Pumpkin Festival down in Circleville. It was a ton of fun. Talk about pumpkin everything.

Pumpkin Fire Hydrants

Pumpkin waffles.
Holy yum. (anything tastes good as long as it is fried right?)
Giant Pumpkin Pie

Giant Pumpkins that weigh 1,000+ lbs.

Boyd took this for me. Because I like pretty pumpkins.

A giant stack of perfect pretty pumpkins. My Dream come true!
Did I mention it was Pouring rain that day?
It was totally worth it.

Love this!

Thanks for taking us Jess and Adam!
P.S.  A Huge thank you for taking care of Boyd in October.
