Florida: Magic Kingdom Part 2

Seriously, Brooke is SO Stinkin' cute!
 She and Boyd were buddies.

Except for when he took her hat!

Florida: Magic Kingdom Part 1

The (not so) Magic Kingdom.
Just kidding. We really had loads of fun in the Magic Kingdom, except for the waiting. . .
So we took pictures while we waited
LOTS of pictures
It took us AN HOUR AND A HALF to get into the park.
Ridiculous? Yes.

This ride was a lot more fun than I imagined. It was great!

Check out Eli's awesome face. He tried so hard to push that rock!

Young Women In Excellence

Arise and Shine
 is the theme for 2012

Thanks to this banner, I now know how to download new fonts

Sharyn spent hours cutting these out.
We took the profile of each girl and applied it to the torch symbol.

We had breakfast for dinner. It was delicious.
The idea came from Boyd. Get it? Arise and shine, breakfast
If you are having a hard time thinking about this, think about the Jimmy Dean commercials.
Boyd also made these YUMMY cinnamon rolls.
We had hot air balloons as decorations.

I made these shadow boxes by printing the torch on vellum and placing a battery powered tealight inside.

Playing at the park

A few weeks ago Boyd and I took Carrie's girls to the park. In the middle of winter. I'm lovin' this winter.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

Boyd made chicken cordon bleu and it was delicious!

To add color he drizzled a raspberry chipotle sauce. Yum.

Noodles, Noodles, Noodles

For Valentine's day Boyd bought me a pasta roller. YES! I have been wanting this sucker for a very long time. I love fresh noodles. A while back Boyd asked me if I had noticed a box sitting in our room. Apparently it had been there for a few days. To be honest, I didn't even know it was there. Ugg, all along I could have been making noodles.

Don't mind my nasty hand. Did you know that sugar plum soap has mango in it? I didn't and look what it did to my poor hand.

Boyd's first noodle ripped. But the rest turned out great!

Things we have learned about noodles:
Don't use such a HUGE piece of dough to begin with.
A setting 5 is for angle hair, not for regular spaghetti
Use good olive oil (it is a good thing we had some)
Make sure you exercise after because you will eat a ton of pasta

I'm a real wife now

I love making bread. Just not in loaf form. Boyd always laughs at me because I make bread sticks, rolls, bagels, anything but a loaf of bread. He told me the other day that since we have been married I have never made a loaf of bread. Well honey, I'm a real wife now. Here is your loaf of bread (from scratch)!

A side note about my outfit:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE my fuzzy jammie pants. They are the most wonderful thing I have ever purchased from Costco. I love them so much I look forward to going home to change into them every single day. It's like a bath robe for your legs. They are warm, soft, comfy, cute, and I'm actually wearing them right now. I feel like a little kid that wears the same outfit every day. The only down side is that they make me look 20 lbs heavier than I am, but it is worth it.

Valentine's Day Flowers

After my two month hiatus, I'm going to try and be a good girl and blog regularly. Hopefully. Maybe. I'll try.

Boyd gets me Gerber daisies every year for Valentine's day. It is so sweet. Here are my flowers this year.

I was extremely impressed that Heinen's actually had a special bag for their flowers. What a grand idea. These were some of the freshest flowers I have seen. I've decided that I will always get my flowers from them.

I was able to make 3 different arrangements with the flowers Boyd bought me.
Thank goodness for floral design. That was one of the best classes ever. Thanks BYU

I love the pink bear grass, especially in the vase like this.
