Day 104: Les Miserables

Les Miserables? Amazing! Wow! That is all.

Amazing what a little make up can do. (p.s. they aren't real; in case you are wondering) "They" are literally drawn in.

What a great date! I can't believe we got tickets for $10! Not to mention free parking a block away.

Fabulous, just fabulous.

Day 103: Photoshop Actions

Photoshop actions where have you been all my life!?!?!

Looking at the pioneer woman's blog, again, and found some actions. I love them!

Boyd saw and told me to go to adobe and download some from their website. LOVE THEM EVEN MORE!

I'm so relieved. To get what I want, all I have to do is push a button! TA DA! No more hours of photoshopping to get my perfect black and white. I can't wait to see what else I can find.

The Original: A nice picture . . . But . . .

Day 102: Hello Spring

I was coming in from work today and noticed the tree just outside our back door. Hello Spring! I hope you come soon! Sunday was 78 degrees, yesterday was in the 60s, and today was cold and cloudy at 45. The weather keeps teasing me. I made Boyd come outside with me to take this picture so he could see and both of us stood there freezing when that nasty Ohio wind blew. At least I got a good shot out of it.

Day 101: Flower from the Zoo

So, Boyd and I are always making fun of the Pioneer Woman. (For those unfamiliar with the Pioneer Women, she is some lady that lives in the middle of no where and blogs about everything and she is like an icon for people who blog) Don't get me wrong, she is amazing and I love her blog. But I feel like many of the pictures she chooses all have the same look to them. I decided to take pictures of the beautiful flowers in the rain forest while were were at the zoo. Then while I was photoshopping today I decided to make it look like something the pioneer woman would like. This is what I came up with.

Day 100:Peek-a-Boo

I see you. This Leopard poked his head out as Allison and Heidi went to the restroom. Before that we could only see her fur.

Day 99: Zoo with Hi Hi Heidi

Boyd and I love going to the zoo. We babysat Heidi today and thought it would be fun to take her to the zoo. The weather was perfect, Heidi was very well behaved, and all the animals seemed to be out and about. I have never been to the zoo when the animals are so active! It was a perfect day!

While I was getting ready to go I saw these two funny bunnies out on the couch, waiting for me, watching cartoons.

Then it was off to the zoo. This picture was actually taken at the end of the day. As you can tell, Heidi is EXHAUSTED! All day people would stare at us. They would look at Boyd, then at me, then at Heidi, then back to me. I bet they were wondering why my child was blond.

When Heidi found out we were going to the zoo she kept saying "monkeys!" So of course we went and saw the monkeys!

We had many grand adventures. We even got to feel a tiger (pelt)!

We had a great fun filled day and we were all very tired at the end of our zoo trip.

Day 98: Happy Birthday Shaun

I'm so happy Shaun and Nicolette moved out to Ohio with us. It's so nice having a piece of home with you. We went over and had a movie night, watched Tangled (love it), and as always, had good company. Shaun's birthday was on the 6th so we made a special trip up to West Side Market. Boyd and I were going to go on Thursday when he didn't have school, but found out the West Side Market was only open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Uh oh. Boyd had school today from 8-5:30 and the market closed at 5. Luckily he didn't have his morning class and I met him there this afternoon after I got off work. I love the West Side Market but I wouldn't dare step foot in there alone. I'm happy Boyd was able to come with me. I'm happy we got to go (plus we got yummy sandwich stuff for our Zoo trip tomorrow). Most of all I'm so happy that Shaun was happy with his noodles.

Day 97: Ultimate Chicken Fingers? yes

Before Boyd and I got married I never used Bisquick. It must be a Bills thing. Anyway, I love the variety of Bisquick. Today I made their "Ultimate Chicken Fingers" on the back of the box. YUM! Boyd called them chicken in a biscuit (because it had a biscuit texture). Chicken in a biskit reminds me of those Nabisco crackers. Which reminds me of all the road trips we would take as kids. Driving to California to visit my aunts, go to Disneyland, or to the beach. Nathan and Megan always loved chicken in a biskit crackers and would always eat so many till their lips turned white. What fun memories.

Anyway, made the chicken and it was yummy. Boyd came into the kitchen and laughed because of this.
Yes that is my bum with a hand print on it. Where did that come from?!?!

Day 96: A Loving Dino

During my latest photo shoot my little subject, Alex, would tenderly kiss his little stuffed animals every time his mom gave him one to calm him down. It was ADORABLE! He would make little teeny tiny kissing sounds as he held them up to his mouth.
Boyd originally posted this and called Alex's chameleon a dino, but that's ok.

Day 95: The Beginning Of A Quilt

Ok, so I have been going to Joann's a lot and I'm getting ambitious. I am going to make a quilt! It will be my first quilt ever. I found this fantastic pink fabric and it was one of those moments where I "just had to have it." Then I thought to myself, what am I going to do with it? So I'm going to make a quilt out of it.

I love pink. I think it is such a cheery color. I love pink and green. Why not do a pink and green quilt?

Today I started sketching like mad. I came up with these drafts. The top one is the one that I'm going to do. The others were just for fun because I was on a roll. (Quite possibly future quilts, especially the orange a pink one)
